Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
PortlandA narrated open-air trolley runs a loop along the Historic Columbia River Highway, and a day pass lets riders get on and off at designated stops. The stops lead to waterfalls, viewpoints, hiking trails, food, restrooms and photo spots, with no need to move a car and no traffic, parking or timed-entry worries on the highway. The driver tells stories about the waterfalls, the highway and the Columbia River Gorge. Driving guests board at Corbett Grade School, 35800 E. Historic Columbia River Highway, Corbett, OR 97019. The ticket booth in the parking lot is green. Guests arriving on a scheduled bus from Portland can join at Multnomah Falls. The first trolley loop begins at 9:00 a.m. and the last at 4:00 p.m. The pass includes access to Multnomah Falls, which from July 20 needs a reservation, and that reservation is part of the purchase. Other stops include Vista House, Bridal Veil Falls State Park, Latourell Falls, Wahkeena Falls, Horsetail Falls and Ainsworth State Park. Hiking options range from the Angels Rest trail to the trail behind Horsetail Falls toward Ponytail Falls. The turnaround is just past Ainsworth State Park, with views of Beacon Rock.
