A three-day plan with two nights in a 3-star hotel in Foz do Iguacu, hotel pickup and drop-off, lunch and an English-speaking guide. The program covers the Brazilian and Argentine sides of the falls and a visit to the Itaipu Dam. Plan the flights around it: the arrival flight should land by noon on the first day so the first activity can happen in the afternoon, and the departure flight on day three should leave after 6:00 PM. If your times fall outside those windows, some activities may not fit and no refund is due. If time is short, the two sides of the falls can be combined into one day. On the Argentine day, after the stop at customs (the Brazilian one for foreigners, then the Argentine one for everyone), a train leaves every 30 minutes for the upper part of the falls. The trail ends at the Garganta do Diabo footbridge, and the Circuito Superior has six observation spots. A valid passport is required on the day of travel. The park and Itaipu entrance fees, drinks, tips, room tax and the Puerto Iguazu eco touristic tax are not included. Prices are per person in a standard double room, with a minimum of 2 people per booking and up to 9 travelers.

  1. Itaipu Dam

The airport transfers run both ways between Cataratas International Airport and your hotel, with an English-speaking representative holding a name sign at arrivals. Itaipu, built in the 1970s and 1980s, was once called a pharaonic project of megalomaniac rulers, and three decades on it is seen very differently. The Panoramic tour has a documentary film and a view of the dam and spillway from the central deck, without entering the plant. The Eco-museum tells how the plant was built and kept running. The ticket is not included and must be paid on the spot.

    Extra fee

  2. Iguazu Falls

Iguassu has 275 waterfalls, a few kilometers from where the Iguassu River meets the Parana. The gigantic canyon of rock steps formed nearly 150 million years ago. The river's average flow is around 1,800 cubic meters per second, higher in the rainy season. The Devil's Throat, 90 meters high, is the biggest fall, and its mist cloud can be seen from kilometers away.

  3. Departure from the hotel with guide assistance

The guide meets you at the hotel, and the group clears Brazilian customs (foreigners) and Argentine customs (everyone). A train leaves every 30 minutes for the upper part of the falls, then a drive through the park reaches the trails. At the end of the trail is the Garganta do Diabo, the biggest fall in the park, on a footbridge of 2,080 meters. Then comes the Circuito Superior, with six observation spots to relax and enjoy the view. On the last day you are met at the hotel and taken to the airport.
