Chinese-Guided South Coast Day Tour with Sólheimasandur Plane Wreck and Waterfalls
This guided South Coast day from Reykjavik is run in Chinese, lasts around 11 hours and takes up to 15 travelers per booking. The route links Skógafoss, Seljalandsfoss, Sólheimajökull, Reynisfjara and the village of Vík, where there is a lunch stop. The Sólheimasandur plane wreck is the stop that gives the day its name. A shuttle bus carries the group across the black sand desert, and admission is included in the price. On foot you reach the silver aircraft that has rested there for decades, and you can walk around and explore the wreck. Skógafoss drops 60 meters across 25 meters of width, and Seljalandsfoss has a path behind its water, which is especially good for photos at sunset. Reynisfjara is the black sand beach with basalt columns, sea stacks offshore and dangerous sneaker waves, so keep clear of the shoreline. The vehicle is air-conditioned, with Wi-Fi on board, warm water and parking fees covered. Meals are not included. The tour is suitable for all fitness levels. Pickup is at Bus Stop 12 near Storm Hotel, at Þórunnartún 6.

Skogafoss
Skógafoss stands on the Skógá River in the south of Iceland. It drops 60 meters (197 feet) across 25 meters (82 feet) of width, and rainbows form often on sunny days.
-
Reynisfjara Beach
Reynisfjara is a black sand beach near Vík í Mýrdal, backed by basalt columns, with Atlantic waves and the Reynisdrangar sea stacks just offshore. Dark sand meets a loud ocean here. Sneaker waves make the beach dangerous, so stay well back.
-
Sólheimasandur Plane Wreck
The wreck lies in a vast black sand desert. A shuttle bus crosses the volcanic plain, where little but wind can be heard. The silver aircraft has sat here for decades. Walk up to it and explore the wreck.
-
Seljalandsfoss waterfall
Seljalandsfoss is known for the path that lets visitors go behind the falling water. The 60-meter (197-foot) drop comes off a cliff that was once part of the coastline, and sunset is an especially good time for photos.
