Three waterfalls anchor this seven-hour day, and the countryside stops between them set it apart: a flower village, a Buddhist temple, a traditional silk factory and a cricket farm. Datanla comes first, a 25 m fall under primeval jungle that is among the easier ones near Dalat to reach. Thrill-seekers can ride the roller coaster from the top of the falls, or take an easy 15-minute walk to the bottom. Pongour is next, about 40 m high and over 100 m wide, stepping down sandstone ledges in unspoiled forest. Elephant Waterfall, rated the second widest in Lam Dong province, has a Wind Cave beside it with a narrow entrance and wide, windy chambers inside. Linh An Pagoda shows the largest Lady Buddha and Happy Buddha, and visitors can make a wish. The silk factory explains how silk is made, and at the cricket farm rice wine is made and anyone brave enough can try some insects. The price covers an English-speaking guide, an air-conditioned vehicle, and all fees and taxes. Datanla tickets, the alpine coaster, lunch, coffee and tea are extra. Up to 30 travelers per booking; a moderate level of fitness is needed.
