Dunn's River Falls Climb and Horseback Ride into the Sea, Montego Bay Pickup

Two of Jamaica's top activities share one day here: a guided horseback ride through the countryside and into the Caribbean Sea, and the climb up Dunn's River Falls. At the falls, a trained guide leads the group in a human chain up the limestone steps of a cascade 600 feet long and 180 feet high, with stops at the pools on the way. The ride follows scenic trails through tropical vegetation and ends with the horses wading into the warm sea. It suits first-timers and experienced riders, and the guides cover local culture and history as the group rides. The price includes admission to Dunn's River Falls, admission and the guided horseback ride, roundtrip transport from Montego Bay resorts and Airbnb listings in an air-conditioned vehicle, and bottled water or rum punch. Meals are sold separately, with vegetarian options at a local restaurant. Photo and video packages, water shoes and personal spending are also extra. Water shoes are required for the climb and can be brought, bought or rented on site. Bring a towel, swimwear, a change of clothes, cash and a camera. Up to 15 travelers can be booked together, with guiding in German, English, Italian, French and Spanish. The day takes about eight hours. Moderate fitness is expected, and it is not recommended for pregnant travelers or for those with spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health.
