Dunn's River Falls Half-Day Guided Climb from Montego Bay Hotels

This half-day trip runs from Montego Bay to Dunn's River Falls near Ocho Rios, with a guide leading the climb. The falls are 55 metres (180 feet) high and the water runs over your feet on every level of the cascade. Foliage shades the rock, so the ascent stays cooler than the open beach would. There is room to stop and wade, and to look at the colourful tropical flowers, big trees and boulders around the stream. After the climb, local stands sell handmade souvenirs before the ride back to your hotel. Transport is included from and to centrally located hotels in the Montego Bay area; guests staying elsewhere may pay an extra fee. Each leg of the drive takes roughly an hour and a half. Hotel or cruise details must be given at booking, or the reservation cannot be confirmed. Guiding is in English and up to 14 travelers can be booked together. Food, drinks and gratuities are not included, so bring cash, a towel, and water shoes or sneakers for the rock. Moderate fitness is expected. The climb is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health, or for pregnant travelers.
