El Cristalino Waterfalls Hike near Guatapé: 15 km of Ravines and Climbs
The day opens with a walk through Guatapé, the town the operator calls an explosion of colour, and then heads into the countryside for a hike of about 15 km. It is an adventure route that tests fitness: native forest, ravine crossings, waterfall climbs, a mountain ascent and old ancestral roads. Along the way come viewpoints over the Guatapé reservoir and the Peñol stone, high Andean forest, and a varied mix of flora and fauna. The hike follows the Quebrada El Cristalino, the stream where the waterfalls, pools and forest patches are found. The meeting point is the main park of Guatapé.
