El Yunque Rockslides and Luquillo Beach Day with Finger Food, Departs San Juan
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
San JuanA van leaves from the Marriott Stellaris valet area on Ashford Avenue in San Juan and heads out to El Yunque, then finishes at Luquillo Beach. The whole thing takes roughly half a day, about 5 hours. In the forest, the group walks in along a private road to a stretch of natural rockslides and rivers. The rocks are smooth enough to slide down, the pools are clear, and a waterfall further along has places to swim and to jump. Life jackets are available on request, and guests should ask for one before leaving the van. After the rainforest the group drives to Playa Luquillo. Puerto Rican finger food and bottled water are included, and the beach has more than 60 local bars, restaurants and shops to wander through afterwards. Groups are limited to 14 travelers per booking and the guide speaks English. Gratuities are not included. Transportation is by air-conditioned vehicle from the meeting point only, because there is no hotel or cruise pickup, so guests must get to the Marriott on their own. Parking at the Marriott is not included, but parking at the experience site is included for guests who drive there. The tour is not recommended for pregnancy or spinal injuries, and a moderate level of fitness is needed. Anyone with recent surgery should consult a doctor first.
