El Yunque Rope Swing, Cliff Jumps and Waterslides, Fajardo Meeting Point

Two natural waterslides, a rope swing and a few cliffs to jump from: this El Yunque outing is built around the water on the east side of the national forest. Each of these is optional, so non-jumpers can stay at the pools while the rest go off the rocks. The day starts at a pharmacy meeting point in Fajardo. Guests follow the guide in their own car for 13 to 15 minutes to the El Yunque parking area, and from there the trail takes 20 to 25 minutes on foot. Reaching the two slides and waterfalls adds about 5 minutes. A few parts of the path need a little rock climbing, which is easy as long as knees, ankles and back are in good shape. The guides were born and raised in Puerto Rico and talk through the history of El Yunque and Puerto Rico along with the plants and animals of the forest. Photos and video of the waterfall stops, bottled water, forest admission, fees and taxes are all part of the price. Transportation from San Juan, Rio Grande, Luquillo and Fajardo can be selected as an option when booking. Bring shoes with good grip, a towel and a swimsuit. Flip-flops and Crocs are not allowed. The tour runs about 4 hours and takes up to 30 travelers per booking, with guiding in English, French and Spanish.
