Erawan Falls, Srinakarin Lake and Train Ride Day Tour from Kanchanaburi
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
KanchanaburiThis eight-hour day starts in Kanchanaburi itself rather than in Bangkok, with a pickup at the accommodation. The first stop is Srinakarin Lake, formed by the Srinakarin Dam on the Kwai Yai River, where the reservoir and the surrounding mountains and forests can be photographed from the shore. Erawan National Park comes next. Its seven-tiered waterfall is named after the three-headed white elephant of Hindu mythology and is said to resemble the god Erawan. Visitors can take a quick dip in the emerald-green pools, look at the nearby caves and walk in the forest before lunch at a local restaurant. Railway history follows, with the Tham Krasae bridge and the River Kwai and a train ride included in the price. The day ends at the Bridge on the River Kwai, where the guide explains its cultural and historical significance. The price covers drinking water, the train ride, hotel pickup and drop-off, an English-speaking guide, an air-conditioned vehicle and the Erawan National Park entrance fee. Meals and personal expenses are paid separately. Groups are limited to 9 travelers per booking, and the tour suits all fitness levels. It is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, poor cardiovascular health or pregnancy.
