Fall for Niagara is a relaxed sightseeing day trip from Toronto with round-trip transportation and about 3 hours at Niagara Falls. Departure is at 8:00 AM from in front of Ripley's Aquarium, near the CN Tower and about three blocks from Union Station; seating is first come, first served, so guests should arrive 20 minutes early. The route follows the Niagara Parkway, often called one of the prettiest drives in Canada, and a licensed guide tells stories and history along the way. Photo stops cover the Sir Adam Beck hydroelectric generating stations, where water from the falls is diverted through tunnels and canals to make electricity for Ontario, the Whirlpool Rapids, and the seasonal Floral Clock, one of the largest in the world. At the falls the group has time around Table Rock and the Horseshoe Falls, with the riverfront, viewpoints, shops and restaurants to explore at its own pace. The Niagara City Cruises boat ride and the Skylon Tower observation deck are optional. A 30-minute stop at Maple Leaf Place has a food court, Canadian gifts and souvenirs, samples of maple syrup and chocolates, and restrooms before the bus continues.
