Four-Day Ijen, Bromo and Tumpak Sewu Tour with Goa Tetes and Malang Stop
This four-day itinerary runs from east to west, so the first night is spent near Ijen and the last day ends at Tumpak Sewu. Pickup is at a chosen airport, hotel or train station, followed by a drive of five to seven hours to Ijen, a hotel check-in and an afternoon of rest. Around midnight the group heads to the starting point for a trek of about an hour and a half. Those who want to see the blue fire can descend to the crater mouth for an extra IDR 25,000 per person, though volcanic activity or weather can make it inaccessible. The trek continues to the sunrise point above the turquoise lake, then back to the hotel for breakfast and a shower. Another drive of five to seven hours reaches the Bromo area. At 3 am a jeep goes to Kingkong Hill or Penanjakan Hill, with the guides looking for a less crowded spot, followed by the Sea of Sand, Lembah Widodaren and a hike of 30 to 45 minutes to the crater rim. Day three goes on to Malang, where Jodipan village or Lawang tea plantation fills the stop, and the night is spent in a hotel. On the final morning the road leads to Tumpak Sewu: trek through valleys, climb down ropes, cross rivers and reach Goa Tetes waterfall. A swimsuit is useful for the spring-water pools. The tour ends with a drop-off at a chosen location. A full refund applies up to three full days before departure.
