Full-Day Wadi Shab Trip from Muscat via the Coast Road and Sinkhole, Groups to 12

This full-day trip leaves Muscat for Wadi Shab by the coast road, with a stop at the sinkhole on the way. The drive to the wadi takes about two hours, and the day lasts around eight hours in all. Up to 12 travelers can book together, guiding is in English, and snacks are provided on board. At Wadi Shab the hike takes about 45 minutes to a cave and a series of clear blue pools. Swimmers move from pool to pool to reach the cave and its waterfall, and the wadi is counted among the top highlights of Oman. A moderate level of fitness is needed. The Bimmah Sinkhole is the result of a collapse of the surface layer after the limestone beneath it dissolved. The day also includes time at a white sand beach, a place to relax and to photograph what is called the romantic cave. The trip is not recommended for pregnant travelers or for anyone with poor cardiovascular health.
