Gray Line runs this five-hour day tour of Niagara Falls from the Niagara Parks Welcome Centre at Clifton Hill, with a local guide who speaks English and room for up to 15 travelers per booking. Pickup is around 10 to 10:15 AM at 883 Falls Avenue, and the bus may arrive slightly late when it comes from Toronto. The Niagara City Cruises Voyage to the Falls opens the day, with priority access and a poncho included, sailing into the mist at Horseshoe Falls. The boat runs roughly May to November, depending on weather, and when it is not operating Journey Behind the Falls takes its place, so the tunnels are used only when the boat stops. Free time follows at Table Rock, the closest viewpoint on land, and at Clifton Hill, where there is room for photographs, souvenir shopping, the Skywheel and arcade games. Lunch is not included, but an add-on is available. Then comes a narrated drive along the Niagara Parkway toward Niagara-on-the-Lake, with a short stop at the Niagara Whirlpool and views of the Floral Clock, the power generating station, the Butterfly Conservatory, Queenston Heights Park, the Laura Secord homestead and Fort George. A stop in the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is not included. At Maple Leaf Place, the tasting of maple syrup, fudge and chocolate is by CFX Chocolatiers. Timings are approximate, the itinerary and vehicle can change, and the tour can be cancelled if too few people sign up. Gratuities for the guide and driver are optional.
