This shorter take on the Road to Hana runs in a 2025 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van, for guests who want to see East Maui without committing to a full day. The route covers rainforest, coastline and Hana's famous banana bread. Stops are fixed to the itinerary and may change with weather or safety conditions: a restroom and snack break at the Jaws Country Store, the Ke'anae Peninsula for coastal views and photos, Aunty Sandy's Banana Bread, Pua'a Ka'a State Wayside for a waterfall swim when conditions allow, and Ho'okipa Beach to see green sea turtles. Also on the way are Paia, with its old plantation camps from the Paia Sugar Mill, the rainbow eucalyptus, a bamboo forest and the historic Lanakila Church, built in 1856. Groups are small, up to 10 guests, and the local guides put safety and clear communication first. The tour runs about six hours. Bottled water is included, and towels and gratuities are not. Some departures need a minimum number of guests; if it is not met, guests are contacted ahead to reschedule or receive a full refund. Fitness at a moderate level is needed, and the tour is not recommended for spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health.
