Horseback Ride on Trails Away from Roads to La Fortuna Waterfall, Entrance Included
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
La FortunaThe riding here stays on trails that never touch a road. Guides are trained and certified, and the horses have been schooled since they were young so riders can relax in the saddle. The route heads for the 65-meter La Fortuna Waterfall, which drops into dense jungle and natural pools, and the trail is a chance to spot toucans, iguanas, parakeets and sloths. After dismounting there is time to change into a swimsuit or use the bathroom before the hike down to the waterfall. That hike is moderate and includes steps. At the base, a quick swim in the cool pools is possible. The price includes a professional bilingual guide, a safety helmet, a trained horse and riding equipment, round-trip private transportation from select hotels and the waterfall admission ticket. Gratuities, food and beverages and hotel pickup outside the central La Fortuna zone are not included. The ride lasts about four hours, suits all fitness levels and takes up to 15 travelers per booking. It is not recommended for pregnant travelers or for travelers with spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health.
