Four days built around Foz do Iguacu, with shared transfers and a professional guide in Portuguese, English or Spanish. One full day goes to the falls. The Argentine side comes first if both are done on the same day: after the hotel pickups the group buys Argentine currency, clears Brazilian and Argentine customs, and takes the train to the upper part of the falls, then the trail to the Garganta do Diabo and the Circuito Superior with its six observation spots. The Brazilian side adds a walk with lookouts and lift bridges, where coatis hang around. On another day the Itaipu Hydroelectric Dam is visited on the Panoramic tour: a documentary film on the power plant and a view of the dam and spillway from the central deck, without entering the facility. The technical tour is not possible. The Foz city tour passes the historical center, the Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Mosque built in 1983, the Buddhist Temple and the Itaipu Ecomuseum. The mosque does not open on Saturday afternoons and Sundays. Round-trip airport shuttles are shared. Accommodation, food and drinks, tips, the park and Itaipu entrance fees and the Puerto Iguazu eco tax are not included. A stay of at least 3 nights is needed, with arrival by 11:59 AM and a return flight at 5 PM or later. Up to 25 travelers per booking.

  1. You’ll be met at the airport and taken directly to your…

A representative meets you at the airport after customs and again in your hotel lobby, and a quiet, comfortable vehicle takes you to the hotel. The same service runs in reverse at the end.

  2. Itaipu Dam

The Itaipu Hydroelectric Dam is more than a power plant: the company runs the Bela Vista biological refuge, reforestation programs and projects for fish and wild animal reproduction. On the Panoramic tour you watch a documentary film on the plant and see the dam and spillway from the central observation deck, without going inside. The ticket is not included and is bought on the spot.

    Extra fee

  3. Iguazu Falls

Iguassu is a group of 275 waterfalls. After the hotel pickups the guide takes the group to a currency exchange office for the Argentine currency needed at the national park, then through Brazilian customs (foreigners) and Argentine customs (everyone). A train leaves every 30 minutes for the upper part of the falls. A vehicle drives through the park to the start of the trails and walkways, and at the end of the trail is the Garganta do Diabo, the biggest waterfall in the park, reached by a footbridge of 2,080 meters. The second part is the Circuito Superior, with six observation spots and places to rest. On a sunny day you may see a rainbow.

    Extra fee

  4. Parque Nacional do Iguacu

The other side of the falls. After the hotel pickups the bus goes to the Iguassu National Park. The 275 falls, set in subtropical forest, form the largest group of waterfalls in the world. The course is done on foot, with lookouts, lift bridges and souvenir shops. Coatis, birds and butterflies add color. Afterwards the bus takes passengers back to their hotels.

    Extra fee

  5. Foz do Iguacu

Foz do Iguacu has a long history. The tour passes through the downtown and its historical buildings, among them the first airport, the mother church, the first college, the gastronomic avenue and a shopping center. Stops follow at the mosque, the Buddhist Temple and the Itaipu Ecomuseum.

  6. Mosque of Omar Ibn Al-Khattab

The Omar Ibn Al-Khatab Mosque was built in 1983. A mosque in Foz do Iguacu is no surprise, as the city has proportionally the biggest Islamic community in Brazil.

  7. Buddhist Temple

A stop to learn about the history and teachings of Buddhism, with views toward the distant centers of Ciudad del Este and Foz do Iguacu.

  8. After this amazing trip

At the end of the trip you are dropped off at the airport.
