This combo pairs the walkways of the Brazilian side with a full Macuco Safari. Inside the park a van or bus runs to the trails and walkways facing the falls, where a walk of 40 minutes to an hour gives panoramic views of the Argentine side. Macuco Safari begins at an entrance 25 km down the Cataratas Highway. Open jeep-towed wagons cover three kilometers of jungle, and multilingual guides point out orchids, palm trees, bromeliads and centenarian trees, and sometimes wild animals crossing the trail. A 600-meter hike leads to Macuco Falls, which drops about 20 meters. Steps are carved into the old rock. A short ride in an open-top jeep then reaches the docks on the Iguassu River. The boats are inflatable and twin-engine. Passengers get life vests and plastic containers to protect cameras. The boat moves upriver past the canyon at a pace that allows sightseeing, and reaches the Three Musketeers, where the captain steers close enough for a quick shower. Hotel pickup and drop-off cover most downtown hotels in Foz do Iguacu or Puerto Iguazu. The park entrance fee, gratuities and the Puerto Iguazu eco tax are extra. Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for a full refund.
