Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
La FortunaEasygoing hikes and a soak in a natural hot river make up this day, which starts at the Sloth Park reception east of La Fortuna's Central Park. Guests are asked to arrive about 10 minutes before the start, and secure parking is free. The route takes in La Fortuna Waterfall, the Arenal ecological park and a swim at the El Choyin natural hot springs. Local bilingual guides keep an eye out for wildlife and explain the culture and nature of the area. The hikes are not very intense, though travelers should still have at least a moderate level of fitness. Included are hotel pickup and drop-off within 7 km of La Fortuna Central Park, a traditional Costa Rican lunch, access to El Choyin, entrance fees to the waterfall and the ecological park, and a professional local bilingual guide. Pickup outside that 7 km radius carries a surcharge. Bottled water and a towel are not included, so both need to come along. The tour is not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health or spinal injuries. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and a booking takes up to 12 travelers. Guiding is in English and Spanish.
