La Leona Waterfall Adventure Hike, Group Tour from Curubande

Guanacaste and NorthwestThis is the shared-group version of the La Leona hike, starting at the adventure center in Curubandé. The walk to the waterfall goes through forest where the plant and animal life of the region is close at hand, and the trip is planned for about 3 hours. At La Leona the group can swim in the clear pool beneath the falls and feel the cool mist coming off the water. Dry bags and life jackets are provided. The hike asks for at least a moderate level of fitness. It is not recommended for pregnant travelers, for people with spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health, or for anyone with knee problems, trouble walking or reduced mobility. Guiding is in English or Spanish, up to 15 travelers can book together, and mobile or paper tickets are accepted. Public transportation options are available nearby.
