Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
Playa FlamingoGuanacaste beyond the beaches is the idea behind this day. It opens with a short walk through tropical forest to a hidden natural pool ringed by greenery, good for a first swim. From there the route continues to the Llanos del Cortés waterfall. Guests explore the upper section and take photos, then go down to the base for a second swim in the pool under the falls. Lunch is a traditional Costa Rican buffet at Donde Pipe, a local restaurant in Liberia, with homemade dishes including the classic casado. The afternoon belongs to Liberia, known as the White City. A guide explains how the city got that nickname and walks guests past traditional adobe houses, historic buildings and a mix of older and newer architecture.
