Four things share this Guanacaste day: a waterfall, a coffee plantation, a chocolate workshop and a stretch of rainforest. It opens with a swim at the Llanos del Cortés waterfall, among tropical greenery. The coffee stop is at a plantation near Tenorio Volcano National Park and covers the whole chain, from planting and harvesting to roasting and grinding, with fresh samples and a guide who explains why Costa Rican coffee is recognized worldwide. The chocolate stop follows how cacao was used by ancient cultures and how chocolate is made today by traditional methods. Guests watch the preparation step by step and taste handmade chocolate. The rainforest walk in Bijagua brings a chance to meet colorful frogs, birds, sloths and snakes. On the way back the group stops in Liberia for shopping.
