The morning starts at Llanos del Cortés, a waterfall where visitors swim in cool water and take photographs against a natural backdrop. The rainforest around Bijagua de Upala comes next, an area of high biodiversity where sloths are the main target, and with a bit of luck they turn up in their natural habitat. A traditional casado is served at a cultural restaurant. The day closes at Miravalles Volcano, inside hot springs and volcanic mud that exfoliates the skin, a spa session meant to loosen up body and mind after the walking.
