Local Maui Tours Private Road to Hana: Waterfall Swim, Hamoa Beach and Black Sand
Local Maui Tours runs this Road to Hana day as a private tour: no crowded bus, no strangers in the van, and a pace the group sets. The driver is an experienced local who knows the road well, and tells local history, stories and legends along the way. The route covers waterfalls, coastal viewpoints, hidden gems and food stops, with the order kept flexible according to what the group enjoys most. The twelve stops listed run from a bamboo forest stroll and the Kaumahina and Honomanu viewpoints through a lava rock coast with taro fields, a waterfall swim stop with pools and shade, and a lunch stop with fruit stands, smoothies and banana bread. The east side adds Koki Beach with its red sand, Hamoa Beach as the stop to linger and swim, and a black sand beach with lava tubes and caves, subject to reservations and paid on site. The day closes at Ho'okipa Beach Park, with turtles to see. Help with photos is part of the service. Pickup is in Kahului. All sales are final: no refund is available for cancellations.
