This five-hour tour of the Canadian side of Niagara Falls adds a helicopter flight to the usual boat and tunnel. See Sight Tours drives it in a Mercedes luxury van with a professional guide, for up to 15 travelers per booking, and the guide speaks English. Lunch is not included, and neither are gratuities. Pickup is free at downtown hotels in Niagara Falls, Canada or the USA. Travelers coming from Toronto can use the central meeting point at 120 Bremner Blvd, near Union Station and the CN Tower. The flight is a 12-minute helicopter ride over Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and the Niagara River. On the ground, Journey Behind the Falls is a 125-foot descent through tunnels cut into the bedrock to observation decks just feet from Horseshoe Falls. The Niagara City Cruises boat goes to the base of the falls through the mist. It runs from May to December, and in winter Niagara Takes Flight, a flying theatre ride that children under 100 cm and infants cannot take, replaces it. Both attractions skip the ticket line. Between stops the van follows a narrated drive on the Niagara River Parkway, past the Dufferin Islands, the International Control Dam, the Old Scow, historic hydroelectric stations and the Niagara Parks Power Station, which opened in 1905. A stop at the Skylon Tower gives a look at the falls from more than 500 feet up.
