Niagara Falls Daredevil History Walk: Maid of the Mist and Timed Cave of the Winds

The stunts that shaped Niagara are the thread of this four-hour walk. A Daredevil Guide in a light blue shirt leads it, starting at the Hard Rock Cafe on Prospect Street and moving through the newly renovated Niagara Falls State Park. Along the trails and observation areas come views of Horseshoe Falls, American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls. The Maid of the Mist boat ride lasts about 20 minutes and visits all three falls, turning slowly in the mist at the base of Horseshoe Falls. Admission to the boat and to the Observation Deck is included, and a timed reservation for the Cave of the Winds is handed out by the guide, so there is no wait in the ticket line. Ponchos come with both rides. The second half of the day is a self-guided stretch around Goat Island on the Niagara Falls Scenic Trolley, and shuttle transportation to and from the tour is included. The route is wheelchair accessible, and strollers and service animals are allowed. Gratuities and parking fees are not included. A booking takes up to 30 travelers, guided in English.
