See Sight Tours runs this guided outing of a little over three hours for up to 10 travelers per booking, in English. It starts inside the Skylon Tower, where a glass elevator rises to the observation deck for a view of Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and the Niagara River. The guide tells how the falls formed and how tourism grew around them. From there the group passes through the Fallsview district, past the Fallsview Casino Resort, and rides the Falls Incline Railway down the escarpment to Table Rock at the brink of Horseshoe Falls. A walk along the Niagara Parkway follows, past the Niagara Parks Power Station, once the largest hydroelectric station on the river, and through Queen Victoria Park, with views of the American Falls and Horseshoe Falls. Journey Behind the Falls is the underground stretch: a 125-foot descent through tunnels cut into the bedrock, then an outdoor observation deck where the vibration of the water can be felt. The guided part ends at the Niagara City Cruises dock. The group boards the boat, which runs from May to December, and guests finish the cruise on their own and may keep exploring afterward. In the months when the boat does not run, Niagara Takes Flight takes its place, and children under 100 cm and infants cannot take it. Admission to the tower, the incline railway, the tunnels and the boat or flight ride is included. Gratuities are optional.

  1. Your experience begins at the iconic Skylon Tower

The tour starts at the Skylon Tower. After meeting the guide, a glass elevator rises to the observation deck, with views of the falls, the Niagara River and the region around them. The guide points out Horseshoe, American and Bridal Veil Falls and tells how the falls formed and how Niagara tourism began.

  2. As you make your way through the Fallsview district

The route goes through the Fallsview district and past Fallsview Casino Resort, one of the largest entertainment complexes in Canada, with hotels, restaurants, theaters and gaming floors. The guide explains how the area grew into the main tourism and entertainment district of Niagara Falls.

  3. Ride the Falls Incline Railway down the Niagara escarpment…

The Falls Incline Railway carries the group down the Niagara escarpment to Table Rock and the brink of Horseshoe Falls, with views of the river and the parklands.

  4. From Table Rock

From Table Rock the guide leads the group along the Niagara Parkway to the Niagara City Cruises dock. The parkway runs beside the Niagara River and was once called the prettiest Sunday drive in the world.

  5. Table Rock Welcome Centre

Table Rock sits right beside the brink of Horseshoe Falls. It is one of the closest viewpoints to the waterfall and an old gathering place for visitors.

  6. Your experience concludes with Niagara’s most famous…

The tour finishes with the Niagara City Cruises boat ride through the Niagara Gorge, as close as possible to the American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and Horseshoe Falls. Ponchos are provided against the mist.

  7. Niagara Parks Power Station

On the way to the boat dock the group passes the historic Niagara Parks Power Station, once the largest hydroelectric station on the Niagara River, which helped power Ontario cities for over a century.

  8. Journey Behind the Falls

A 125-foot descent through tunnels cut into the bedrock leads to the power of Horseshoe Falls seen from behind. On the outdoor observation deck the water can be felt crashing into the gorge below.

  10. Horseshoe Falls

Stops along the way give views over Horseshoe Falls, the largest and most powerful of the three falls.

  11. American Falls

Walking along the Niagara Parkway gives views of the American Falls, between Goat Island and Luna Island, which drop more than 100 feet into the gorge. The guide points out rock formations at the base and explains how erosion has shaped this stretch over thousands of years.

  12. 5920 Niagara River Pkwy, Niagara Falls
