Niagara Falls Small Group Tour: Whirlpool Deck, Skylon, Behind the Falls, Hornblower
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
Niagara Falls & AroundThis four-hour guided tour keeps the group small, with up to 14 travelers per booking. Guiding is in English or German, and a licensed guide drives the group in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. The vehicle has no wheelchair ramp, and gratuities are extra. The route starts at the Whirlpool Observation Deck. The Niagara Whirlpool forms at the end of the rapids, where the gorge turns sharply counterclockwise, and the sudden change of direction in the river makes the water swirl. A commentated drive down the Niagara Glen follows, then the Skylon Tower for aerial views of the falls. Journey Behind the Falls, run by Niagara Parks, takes the group down into the tunnels behind the falls, where the water pours past overhead. The tour finishes with the Hornblower cruise to the base of the falls, through spray and thunder. In the months when the boat is closed, December to May 5, the cruise is swapped for the Niagara Power Station or the Butterfly Conservatory. Lunch and dinner are not included, but the guide can suggest where to eat. Strollers and service animals are allowed, and infants sit on an adult's lap. Tickets can be shown on a phone or on paper.
