Niagara Falls State Park Guided Walk from SPoT: Terrapin Point and Maid of the Mist
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
Niagara FallsThe meeting point is SPoT Niagara Falls on Buffalo Avenue, and the next two hours are spent on foot. The guide leads along the paths of Niagara Falls State Park, established in 1885 and the oldest state park in the United States, to Prospect Point and the brink of the American Falls. From there the trail follows the river toward Goat Island, past rapids heading for the falls. Luna Island puts the American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls side by side, the statue of Nikola Tesla stands further along on Goat Island, and Terrapin Point lets the walk reach the edge of Horseshoe Falls and its mist. The walk ends on the Maid of the Mist, where about 600,000 gallons of water go over the cliffs every second. After the cruise there is time to climb the Crow's Nest beside the American Falls or to stay on the New York Observation Deck above the Niagara Gorge. The operator has been guiding visitors for almost 30 years. The booking covers the guided walk and boat admission; gratuities are extra. A moderate level of fitness is expected and the route is not recommended for travelers with impaired mobility. Up to 24 travelers can book together, guided in English.
