Three views of the falls in one day: from above, from behind and from the water. The tour starts with pickup in downtown Toronto and a round trip by comfortable vehicle with a guide, and the ticket covers admission to the Skylon Tower, Journey Behind the Falls and a Niagara City Cruises boat ride. The boat runs from May to December and is replaced by Niagara Takes Flight in winter. The guide picks up at 8 AM and the drive to the falls takes about an hour and a half, with stories of the region on the way. At the Skylon Tower a glass elevator climbs 520 feet to a deck with views of all three waterfalls and the Niagara River. At Journey Behind the Falls the group descends about 125 feet to tunnel passages cut in bedrock and stands on observation decks a few feet from the Horseshoe Falls. The Voyage to the Falls boat tour then sails through the Niagara Gorge into the mist, and a poncho is provided. Along the Niagara River the vehicle passes Dufferin Islands, the International Control Dam, the Niagara Scow, a steel barge stranded in the rapids since 1918, and the historic hydroelectric stations, including the Niagara Parks Power Station, which opened in 1905. The day ends with the return to the downtown Toronto hotel.
