This guided day tour collects guests from downtown Toronto or Mississauga around 8:00 AM and brings them back to their pickup area around 5:30 PM. The bundle is built around two skip-the-line tickets: the Hornblower boat cruise, formerly the Maid of the Mist, a 25-minute sail into the mist of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, and Journey Behind the Falls, which runs through tunnels behind the falls to a viewing balcony right beside the water. Together the two give a full circle of views and the best photo spots in Niagara Falls. The cruise runs in summer, from about May 1 to December 31 depending on the weather, and the Niagara Parks Power Station and Tunnel replaces it when it is closed. On the way, the air-conditioned coach has a guide talking through Niagara's history and the best things to do. Photo stops include the Floral Clock (seasonal) and the Niagara Whirlpool, where the rapids formed around 4,200 years ago. A rest stop at Maple Leaf Place has refreshments, a tour of maple syrup production and three maple syrup samples, plus locally made chocolates. Time at the falls is left for photos and lunch at a local restaurant. Pickup times run from 7:30 AM and the provider confirms details by email.
