Niagara Falls USA Evening Tour with Maid of the Mist, Cave of the Winds and Illumination
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
Niagara FallsOver the Falls Tours runs this evening tour in Niagara Falls, New York, and it takes around three and a half hours. Everything is on the American side, and admission to the boat ride, Cave of the Winds and Prospect Point Observation Tower is part of it. The Maid of the Mist operates from May to November, and in the off-season the NYPA Power Vista replaces it. The cruise sails to the base of Horseshoe Falls. An elevator then drops to the floor of the Niagara Gorge for Cave of the Winds, where the Hurricane Deck puts visitors just feet from Bridal Veil Falls. The Observation Tower stands 282 feet above the gorge and shows all three falls at once. Viewpoints include Porter's Bluff and Stedman's Bluff on Goat Island, Luna Island, Terrapin Point and the Nikola Tesla monument in Niagara Falls State Park. At dusk the falls are lit by 12,600 LED lights, and fireworks go off over the falls in June, July and August. The meeting point is the Aquarium of Niagara, at the far end of its parking lot. Transport to or from Toronto or Buffalo hotels is not included, nor are gratuities. Guests staying on the Canadian side need a valid passport, up to 20 travelers can book together, and guiding is in English.
