Niagara Falls Walking Tour by WalksDevour: Boat Ride and Journey Behind the Falls
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
Niagara Falls & AroundWalksDevour runs this three-hour walking tour of Niagara Falls with a local English-speaking guide, for up to 15 travelers per booking. It starts at a set meeting point, and the guide walks the group to the Niagara City Cruises dock, where pre-reserved boat tickets and a poncho are part of the price. The cruise lasts 20 minutes and gets close enough to the falls to feel the mist. Afterward the guide leads the walk to the Table Rock Visitor Center, pointing out landmarks on the way and telling the story of Niagara's history and its best-known moments. The walk ends with Journey Behind the Falls, a staircase down into rocky caves behind the falls, where the water echoes through the tunnels and a ledge sits beside the falling water. The ticket is included. The product has several options. Besides the standard group and private tours, a boat upgrade adds priority boarding, and the Night Boat Tour with Fireworks swaps the standard route for an illuminated walk and a 40-minute fireworks cruise that runs once a night. The route covers roughly 2 km (1 mile) at a moderate pace, on uneven surfaces, so proper shoes help. Everything happens outdoors in any weather, and winter can be cold. The tour is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments or wheelchairs. Hotel pickup and drop-off and gratuities are not included. Parking is limited, and a taxi or Uber to the meeting point is suggested. Guests arriving from the US need a passport.
