Niagara USA Guided Walk Ending at Cave of the Winds, with Maid of the Mist and Film
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
Niagara FallsThis 3.5-hour guided walk finishes where most visits start: inside the Cave of the Winds, with no clock running after the guide leaves. It begins at the Hard Rock Cafe on Prospect Street, with a state park parking lot diagonally across the road. A leisurely walk through the oldest state park in America comes first, past the upper rapids, with the local guide telling how people and events shaped Niagara. The Observation Tower gives a panorama of the falls and the gorge, and the Maid of the Mist, running since 1846, comes next. A walk across the rapids bridge leads to Goat Island and the viewpoints at Terrapin Point, Luna Island and Stedman's Bluff. The Cave of the Winds brings guests close to the American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls, and the World Changed Here pavilion with its short film is part of the admission. Guide gratuities are extra. The route is on paved paths for most of the tour, so travelers with mobility issues should keep that in mind; all areas and surfaces are wheelchair accessible, and strollers and service animals are allowed. Up to 15 travelers can book together, guided in English.
