Ocho Rios Cruise Port Blue Hole and Dunn's River Tour, Entrance Fees Not Included
Meeting happens at the Ocho Rios cruise port, where a representative holds a sign with the guests' names, and the tour goes by air-conditioned vehicle to Blue Hole and Dunn's River Falls. The price covers the vehicle only: entrance fees to both sites are paid separately. The operator describes a small-group tour that leaves the usual crowds behind, with room to customize the excursion, contact with local communities and drivers who talk about Jamaica's history, culture and natural sights. At Dunn's River Falls the terraces rise about 180 feet over a length of 600 feet, empty into the Caribbean Sea at the western end of a white sand beach, and take about 45 minutes to climb. The Blue Hole lies in the cool hills of Ocho Rios, in a stretch of limestone-filtered water that runs between the parishes of St. Ann and St. Mary. The path can be slippery, which makes the climb up the falls tougher. Infants must sit on an adult's lap. Travelers should have at least a moderate level of fitness, and the tour is not recommended for pregnant travelers, travelers with spinal injuries or those with poor cardiovascular health. Up to 15 travelers per booking, with guiding in English.
