Private Bijagua Rainforest Reserve, Llanos del Cortés and Corobicí River Safari Float
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
Playa HermosaPrivate tours with local Costa Rican guides are the format here, planned around what the group wants to do. The day has three stops. Llanos del Cortés is a waterfall wrapped in dense vegetation, with a calm pool for swimming or cooling off and a sandy beach for resting while looking at the falls. The second stop is a Safari Float on the Corobicí or Tenorio River in Guanacaste: calm Class I-II water, a guide who rows the raft, and safe swimming spots along the banks. Birdwatchers can expect toucans, parrots, motmots, kingfishers, herons, ospreys, laughing falcons and Jabiru storks, with howler monkeys, white-faced monkeys, iguanas, otters, coatis and small crocodiles on the riverbanks. The third stop is the Spring Paradise protected rainforest reserve in Bijagua, where a private guide points out sloths, poison dart frogs, toucans, monkeys, reptiles and birds, and explains how the forest ecosystem works.

Llanos del Cortés is a waterfall surrounded by dense green vegetation. The water falls like a curtain into a calm pool for swimming or cooling off, and a sandy beach beside it is a spot to rest and look at the falls. Flora and fauna are varied for such a compact area, and the water is safe for swimming.
