This private day trip from Sarajevo lasts about 11 hours and covers Herzegovina's main stops in order: the Ottoman Old Bridge in Konjic, the Blagaj Dervish tekke by the spring of the Buna, the Kravice waterfalls and then Mostar. Most of the time goes to Mostar, the cultural and administrative center of Herzegovina, known for its UNESCO-protected bridge. Konjic brings a short break that can be used for a coffee. Blagaj is a small town with a Dervish tekke beside the Buna spring. Kravice is described as the most beautiful waterfall in the country and a small version of Niagara. It is 25 meters high and protected as a natural rarity. Počitelj, a stepped Ottoman-era fortress village, is also on the route, and since 2000 the Federation government has kept it under a Program of Permanent Protection. In Mostar the sights are the Old Bridge, the Kujundziluk Old Bazaar, the Turkish hamam, the arch bridge Kriva Ćuprija and the Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque, whose minaret can be climbed for a view of the city and the bridge. The tour starts at the Meet Bosnia travel office in Sarajevo's Old Town.

  5. The historic urban site of Pocitelj

Počitelj is a stepped fortress village from the Ottoman era, a medieval and Ottoman-Mediterranean blend of nature and architecture. It sits in a steep rocky amphitheater, with stairways climbing between stone-roofed houses and pomegranate bushes. The government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has kept it under a Program of Permanent Protection since 2000.

  6. Old Bridge Area of the Old City of Mostar

Mostar, a city of stone on stone, is the historical, political, scientific and cultural center of Herzegovina, at the foot of Velež Mountain in the Neretva valley. Its best-known attraction is the Old Bridge, built in 1566 to plans by Hayruddin, the great Turkish builder of the 16th century, and listed by UNESCO. The group also sees Kriva Ćuprija, the oldest arch bridge in Mostar, and the Turkish bath, the only one still standing in Mostar and one of few in Herzegovina. The Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque, the second largest in Mostar, kept its original color and wall decorations, and visitors may climb the minaret for a panoramic view of the city and the Old Bridge.
