Private Erawan Falls, Death Railway Train Ride and Muang Mallika Tour from Bangkok
The morning starts with a pickup at the hotel and a drive of about 2.5 hours west from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi. History comes first: a stop at the Don Rak War Cemetery, where the story is told of the 6,982 Allied prisoners of war who died building the Thai-Burma Railway, then the JEATH Museum. Next is the world-famous bridge over the River Kwai, part of the Death Railway, destroyed in Allied bombing raids near the end of World War II and later rebuilt by the Japanese as war reparations. A short train ride follows on the historic line, with jungle scenery along the way. Lunch is at a local restaurant with a good view of the River Kwai. The last stop is Erawan Waterfall, with seven plateaus. A small jungle path leads to the highest level, and the clear water is good for swimming, so bring a swimsuit and a towel. The group leaves Kanchanaburi for Bangkok around 4:00 PM. The product description also mentions an expedition to Muang Mallika, where visitors wear ancient Siamese clothes. The price includes hotel pickup and drop-off, the train ticket, lunch, travel accident insurance and a private van with an English-speaking guide. Gratuities, beverages and personal expenses are not included. Up to 9 travelers can book, and children must be accompanied by an adult.
