Private Erawan Falls, River Kwai Boat Ride and Bridge Day Tour from Bangkok
This private day starts early. The car leaves at 7:00 AM for Erawan Waterfall, where the morning goes to the seven tiers, the emerald pools and the jungle around them. A simple Thai lunch comes next, then two stops on the Death Railway story in Kanchanaburi: the War Cemetery and the Death Railway Museum and Research Centre, which covers the railway built during World War II. In the afternoon the day moves onto the water with a boat ride along the River Kwai past quiet riverside scenery, and it finishes at the Bridge over the River Kwai. The tour runs about 11 hours and is private, so the pace belongs to the group, which can be up to 15 travelers. An English-speaking guide goes along, with transport by car and boat. Lunch, bottled water, admission fees and accident insurance are included. Hotel pickup and drop-off is included if the hotel is in the city center. A tip for the guide and driver is not included, and swimming clothes are not provided, so bring your own for the pools at Erawan. The tour is suitable for all fitness levels, but it is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, poor cardiovascular health or pregnancy.

Erawan Waterfalls
Erawan Waterfall lies in Erawan National Park in Kanchanaburi and has seven tiers. It is named after the three-headed white elephant of Hindu mythology, since the top tier is said to resemble its head. Each level has its own character, with emerald-green pools for swimming and jungle trails where butterflies fly, and visitors may spot monkeys in the trees. The limestone terraces can be crossed barefoot. A private guide goes along for the visit.
-
Kanchanaburi War Cemetery
The cemetery honors those who died during the construction of the Death Railway. The group walks between the rows of gravestones while the guide tells the stories of the people who lived and died here.
