Private Erawan Falls, Wat Tham Phu Wa and Wat Tham Sua Temple Day Trip from Bangkok
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
BangkokWhere many Erawan tours lean on the River Kwai and wartime history, this private day puts nature and temples first. About three hours go to the seven-tiered Erawan Waterfalls, with the choice of swimming at the lower pools or hiking toward the higher tiers according to interest and fitness. Seeing all seven levels is not guaranteed, since it depends on fitness, trail conditions, weather and how long the group spends in the water. After the falls the route reaches the cave sanctuary of Wat Tham Phu Wa and the large canopy of the Giant Rain Tree. It then goes to Wat Tham Sua, set above rice fields, with a big seated golden Buddha, colorful towers, a mix of Thai and Chinese architecture and broad views across the Mae Klong River plain. A stop at the River Kwai Bridge is also on the program, with a walk across it and a look at the story of the Death Railway. The private vehicle and licensed guide let the group set its own pace for swimming, walking, photos and rest. Pickup and drop-off at one Bangkok hotel, admission fees, bottled water, accident insurance, and fuel, tolls and parking are included. Lunch, snacks, extra drinks, tips and overtime requested beyond the stated duration are not. Shoulders and knees must be covered at the temples, so swimmers need dry clothes. Up to 12 travelers can book.
