Private Flexible Plitvice Lakes and Rastoke Day Tour from Zagreb with Driver-Guide
A private day tour from Zagreb where the group sets the pace. Only the booked party rides in the air-conditioned vehicle, with door-to-door pickup in Zagreb, a licensed local driver-guide and flexible departure and return times. That removes the fixed schedules and crowds of a group tour. The drive to Rastoke takes about two hours, and Rastoke is the first stop: a historic watermill village where rivers form dozens of small waterfalls, often called Little Plitvice. From there it is a half-hour drive to Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO-protected park, where the walk follows wooden paths above turquoise lakes and waterfalls. Time inside the park is not rushed. The entrance ticket to the park is not included. It is bought in advance for the traveler and paid to the driver-guide on the day, at a rate that depends on the month and on age: adults, students and children aged 7 to 18 pay different amounts, and children up to 6 are free. Lunch, drinks and gratuities are also extra. The tour is not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health, and guiding is in English.
