A private vehicle for up to ten hours on Phnom Kulen, chosen to suit the group: standard Honda CR-V or Lexus cars, or 12-seater minivans. Every vehicle has air conditioning, with cold towels and iced bottled water on board. Hotel drop-off is included. Entrance fees, lunch and gratuities are not. Pickup is flexible between 8 and 9 am, and the latest departure is 9:30 am because of the distance and because the mountain park closes at 11 am. The route climbs to Kulen Waterfall, where guests can take a dip or watch locals enjoy their sacred land, then continues to the River of a Thousand Lingas, whose floor is covered in carvings and where visitors can receive a Cambodian blessing with holy water. The pagoda and its Reclining Buddha come next. A swim in the sacred waterfall is possible before returning, with one more stop on the way back for the view over the surrounding foothills. An English-speaking guide can be booked as an optional extra through the operator's office, and needs a seat in the vehicle. For lunch, guests can bring a packed meal or eat at the basic food stalls nearby. Swimwear, a towel and insect repellent are worth packing. Up to 15 travelers per booking.
