Two stops on the Brazilian side fill this tour from Puerto Iguazu: the Iguacu Falls viewpoints and Parque das Aves. The viewpoints and walkways of the national park show almost all of the falls, with a close approach to the Garganta del Diablo, and the transfer time from the hotel to the first stop is counted in the tour. Parque das Aves lies a few meters from the falls in Foz do Iguacu and is the only institution in the world devoted to conserving the birds of the Atlantic Forest. The route opens with a small bridge across an artificial lake with more than 100 flamingos and a parakeet habitat. Walk-through sectors follow: the Forest Nursery, which stands for Iguazu National Park, and the Pantanal Nursery, where guaras, herons and toucans live. Turkeys and pheasants roam freely between them. The reptile house keeps pythons, iguanas, alligators and an anaconda behind thick glass, and the last stop is the Refuge of the Harpies, home to the most powerful bird of prey in the world. About 150 species live in the park. The round-trip transfer and a guide in Spanish and English are included, as is insurance. Park and Bird Park tickets, food and drinks are not. The ride back to the hotel is counted in the tour time. A full refund applies to cancellations made at least 24 hours before departure.
