Rappel Maui: Waterfall and Cliff Rappelling in a Private Valley on the Road to Hana
Rappelling means descending a cliff or wall on anchored ropes, and this tour does it beside waterfalls in a private rainforest valley on the Road to Hana. Expert guides supervise and instruct, and guests use professional equipment. The valley is the Maui location that appeared in the movie Jurassic Park. The tour suits active families, couples, groups and solo travelers who like dynamic outdoor excursions. Participants must be at least 10 years old, weigh between 70 and 250 lbs. and have a waist measurement between 22 and 48 inches. All gear is provided, shoes included. The tour runs rain or shine. Waterfalls change quickly, and when rain floods the streams and the falls are roaring or swollen, one or both can be unsafe to rappel. In that case the group rappels 40- to 115-foot drops from jungle cliffsides, at a safe distance from the water course.
