Saturday Spanish and English South Coast Tour with Gljúfrabúi and Skógafoss Waterfalls
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
ReykjavikThis Saturday departure runs the regular South Coast route with a bilingual guide who speaks Spanish and English, in a group of up to 19 travelers per booking. The first stop is Seljalandsfoss, where weather permitting you can walk behind the curtain of water. Gljúfrabúi, the hidden waterfall next to it, is visited if conditions allow. Skógafoss follows, with a drop of 60 meters across a width of 25. In the village of Vík í Mýrdal the group goes up to the church for photos, then pauses for lunch, which is not included in the price. Reynisfjara, Iceland's most famous black sand beach, brings basalt columns and strong North Atlantic waves. The last stop is the Sólheimajökull glacier, close enough to see it whole and put one foot on the ice. The guides talk about the history, geology and culture of the South Coast along the way. Be ready for a lot of road: up to 5 or 6 hours of the day are spent inside the vehicle between attractions. The vehicle is air-conditioned and has Wi-Fi, and all fees and taxes are covered. Children under 4 cannot take part, with no exceptions. Travelers need to be able to sit in their assigned seat and to get on and off the vehicle by themselves, and the tour is not recommended for people with mobility problems.
