Private and client-led, with no fixed schedule. The guide collects you from your hotel lobby or reception at the agreed time, anywhere between 6:00 AM and 12:00 PM by arrangement, and starts in Victoria Falls National Park on the Zimbabwean side. Rainforest trails lead to Main Falls, Horseshoe Falls and Rainbow Falls, where the Zambezi plunges into a basalt gorge. In the high-water season the rising mist often makes rainbows, and nobody hurries the photographs. Transfers between Zimbabwe and Zambia are arranged with logistical support throughout, including border crossing assistance. Those who want to can walk across the Victoria Falls Bridge while the guide explains its history as a piece of colonial engineering, with wide views over the canyon. Then comes the Zambian side, a rawer and closer look at Mosi-oa-Tunya, the Smoke That Thunders. Guided walks lead to viewpoints near the rushing water and the rugged gorge. At peak flow the mist climbs high, and the Knife-Edge Bridge section becomes a soaking walk. Bottled water and photography stops at key viewpoints are included. Food, drinks, souvenirs, visa costs and the entrance fees for Zimbabwe and Zambia, paid at the gate, are not. The tour is not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health, and a moderate level of fitness is expected.
