Victoria Falls Both Sides Tour: Zimbabwe and Zambia
Eighteen tours from under 30 to more than 250 EUR, typically 60 to 120 for about five hours. Parks and visas are extra, so the real bill runs well above the price.
A Victoria Falls tour of both sides typically costs 60 to 120 EUR for about five hours, and that is the smaller half of the bill. Each country charges its own park entrance, and the border crossing may need a visa. Add the Zimbabwe and Zambia park entrances and a visa where you need one, and the bill runs well past the price on the sticker. The cheapest of the 18 listings, under 30 EUR, includes "guide fees only". This page is the bill: what the 18 listings cover, where a both-sides tour turns into something else, such as a museum visit or a speedboat swim, and how the border eats part of the morning. Half the tours are private, and the price chart in the middle of the page shows how little length changes the price. For the falls themselves see Victoria Falls. If you only want one bank, the pages for the Zimbabwe side and the Zambian side cover them one at a time.
Prices are the provider's, in euros. Fees and visas are taken from the listings, and they change, so check them before you travel. We opened five of the 18 listings in full and read the rest from their titles, prices and the provider's summaries, which is where the day-by-day detail below comes from. Most ratings come from reviews imported from TripAdvisor, 85% across the Victoria Falls catalog by our count, so they describe the experience at the falls in general more than one operator.

The real bill for a Victoria Falls tour of both sides
Start with what the 18 listings leave out. In the five we opened, park entrance is excluded or left uncovered every time, and a visa is never included. The tour price pays for the driver, the guide, water, and in one listing raincoats and help at the border. Everything else is on top.
The tour price is the smaller half of the bill.
| Item | Amount | Source and caveat |
|---|---|---|
| Guided tour, median of 18 listings | 60 to 120 EUR | Our catalog, read 22 October 2026 |
| Zimbabwe park entrance | Set by ZimParks | The tariff changed in February 2026; one listing quotes an older figure |
| Zambia park entrance | Set by the park authority | Two listings quote an amount and a 2026 tariff table elsewhere gives another, so confirm at the gate |
| Visa, if your passport needs one | Set by the issuing authority | KAZA UniVisa where eligible, or a Zimbabwe double-entry visa, per one listing |
| Bridge crossing | A small charge each way | Included in one listing; the others do not say |
Add the two park entrances and the bill climbs well past the sticker price, and the visa pushes it higher. None of the 18 listings sells the whole bill as one price, so use this page as a checklist and ask each operator what the tour price does not cover. Carry US dollars in cash: one listing warns that card machines at the border may be down.
A both-sides day, hour by hour
The listings differ on length, from 3 hours to 10, but the shape is the same: one side, the border, the other side. The 7-hour listing, in the 120 to 250 EUR band, publishes a full timetable, and it is the clearest picture we have of how the time goes.
| Time | What happens |
|---|---|
| 08:00 | Pickup from a lodge in Victoria Falls or Livingstone, then the drive |
| Until 10:20 | Zimbabwe side, about 2 hours, with its viewpoints |
| 10:20 to 10:35 | Drive over the bridge and immigration into Zambia |
| 10:35 to 12:20 | Zambian side, about 1.5 hours |
| 12:35 to 13:45 | Lunch in Livingstone, own account, 15 minutes from the falls |
| 13:45 to 15:30 | Livingstone Museum, 1 hour, then the drive back |
The border takes 15 minutes in that timetable, which is optimistic for a day when a coach load of travelers arrives at the same time. The 5-hour tour from Cuckoo Safaris, the most reviewed listing here with 300 reviews, starts at 08:30 on whichever side you sleep and includes drinking water, raincoats and help at the crossing. Cuckoo Safaris holds 42% of all the reviews on the page.
The bridge is the border
The photo shows the road and rail bridge that spans the gorge, opened in 1905. This is where the crossing happens, and where a tour either runs smoothly or loses an hour. The operators handle immigration for you at the bridge, so your part is the passport and, if you need one, the visa.
One listing recommends the KAZA UniVisa, which allows multiple entries between Zimbabwe and Zambia and covers day trips to Botswana through Kazungula. Where you are not eligible, the same listing suggests a Zimbabwe double-entry visa instead.
Shared or private: a median that surprises
Nine of the 18 listings are private and nine are shared. The private and shared medians sit in the same 60 to 120 EUR band, so private carries no premium, which is the reverse of what private usually means. Private tours here are priced per person, like shared seats, and none of the nine quotes one price for the whole group, so the two medians compare directly. The under-30 EUR listing is a private guide for 3 hours with "guide fees only" and no park entrance, so it is a guide hire, not a tour of both sides by the usual measure.
Look at how flat the line is. Between 3 and 6 hours the price hardly moves, apart from the guide hire under 30 EUR: tours of 3 hours and of 6 hours cost the same, in the 30 to 60 EUR band. Hours do not buy anything here until the day acquires something extra. At 7 hours the price is roughly 60 to 250 EUR, and the one we opened adds the museum. At 8 hours it is the day trip from Kasane, in Botswana, in the 120 to 250 EUR band, with a 07:00 pickup and the Zambian side first. The outlier above 250 EUR has a boat and a swim in it.
The one listing with a swim
One listing, above 250 EUR and 10 hours, is a different product. A speedboat takes you to Livingstone Island, you have a buffet lunch with a view over the falls, and you swim at Devil's Pool or at Angel's Armchair. The island fee and the two bridge crossings are included. Park entrances and visas are not. The minimum age is 12. The listing has five reviews at 4.0, and unlike every other listing we opened it is non-refundable: "All sales are final."
That last point matters because the pool is seasonal. No official body publishes opening dates for Devil's Pool. The Zambia Tourism portal says it is usually accessible in the low-water season, from about August to January, and Wikipedia says usually September to December. We found no dated report of the 2026 opening. Ask what happens to your money if the swim is called off.
Spray and the camera you brought
The photo shows a viewpoint over the gorge, with spray and a faint rainbow. The tour listings warn about it plainly. Cameras and phones may get wet from the mist, especially in the high-water season, and waterproof protection is strongly recommended. Raincoats are included in at least one listing.
High water is not a reason to skip the day. It means a wetter walk and a thicker curtain of spray. In the low months, roughly October to December, the Zambia Tourism portal says parts of the falls dry up, so what you see on a both-sides tour depends on the month.
Who runs the tours, and how to pick one
Fifteen operators share the 803 reviews. Cuckoo Safaris has three listings, from the 60 to 120 EUR band up to the 120 to 250 EUR band, and 335 reviews between them, which is where the 42% comes from. Intondolo Safaris has 139 on the 7-hour combo, and a 4-hour listing from Ruach Travel Agency has 69 reviews at a straight 5.0. Ten of the 18 listings have 20 reviews or more. The other eight have ten or fewer, and a rating built on three or four reviews is a rumor, not a score.
Our reading is that the plain 5-hour day, at roughly 30 to 120 EUR, is close to interchangeable between operators. Choose on the evidence you can read: the review count, whether the listing names the fees it leaves out, and whether pickup and border help are written down. If you dislike a rush, one private listing in the 60 to 120 EUR band describes itself as slow-paced. That is a promise about pace, and a small operator can keep it more easily than a coach tour can.
Questions about Victoria Falls tours of both sides
Can you see both sides of Victoria Falls in one day?
Yes. The 18 listings run from 3 to 10 hours, with a median of 5. The tour starts on the side where you are staying, crosses the bridge, and finishes on the other. Plan for the border to cost you a quarter of an hour at best.
Do I need a visa to cross?
It depends on your passport. One listing recommends the KAZA UniVisa for eligible nationalities, which allows multiple entries between Zimbabwe and Zambia. Otherwise it suggests a Zimbabwe double-entry visa. Bring cash in US dollars.
How much are the park fees?
The Zimbabwe tariff changed in February 2026, and each country publishes its own figures. The fees are excluded from almost every tour price, so ask the operator for the current figures.
Is a private tour worth it?
At the median, private and shared tours here both sit in the 60 to 120 EUR band, so there is no premium. Both are per person, so the two figures compare directly; what differs is how many people the guide takes.
Is Devil's Pool included?
In one of the 18 listings, above 250 EUR, and the listing is non-refundable. No official body publishes dates for Devil's Pool. The Zambia Tourism portal says it is usually accessible from about August to January, and Wikipedia says usually September to December.
Only want the Zambian bank?
The Zambian side has its own tours from Livingstone, 19 of them, typically 60 to 120 EUR.
