An award-winning Niagara Falls tour company with 25 years in the tour and sightseeing business runs this bus tour from Toronto. Licensed professional guides lead it, and the vehicles are maintained for comfort and safety. The route is full of short visits. Journey Behind the Falls takes visitors through tunnels to observation decks at the base of the falls, where the mist and the roar reach the deck, and it runs all year. The Skylon Tower observation deck stands 775 feet above the falls with a 360-degree view and interactive displays about the history and geology of the falls. Along the way the tour sees the Floral Clock, planted with up to 16,000 plants, the Welland Canal, the Heritage District of Niagara-on-the-Lake, the Botanical Gardens, the Sir Adam Beck I Generating Station and the Living Water Wayside Chapel, the smallest chapel in the world. The Niagara Falls Festival of Lights is in view during the tour. A buffet dinner at the Fallsview Restaurant is available for guests who chose the tour with dinner and paid for it. Pickup points are at hotels in Oakville and Etobicoke, the Sheraton Gateway Hotel at Terminal 3, the Starbucks at 300 Front Street West and the Tim Hortons at 55 York Street, near Union Station.

  1. Journey Behind the Falls

Journey Behind the Falls runs through tunnels to observation decks at the base of the falls, where the mist hits the face and the roar fills the air. It is open all year, and the photos come from just a few feet from the wall of water.

    Extra fee

  2. Skylon Tower

The Skylon Tower observation deck is 775 feet above the falls with a 360-degree view of the falls and the Great Gorge, in daylight or with the falls lit at night. Interactive displays cover the history and geology of Niagara Falls.

    Extra fee

  3. Floral Clock

The Floral Clock face is planted with up to 16,000 carpet bedding plants, changed twice a year. Niagara Parks horticulture staff look after the plants and Ontario Hydro keeps the mechanism running.

  4. The Welland Canal

At the Welland Canal, ocean-going ships with deep drafts make up about 20% of traffic and often sail the Great Lakes part loaded. Filling a lock takes 9.4 million litres of water, moved by gravity with no pumps.

  5. Niagara on the Lake Heritage District

The Heritage District of Niagara-on-the-Lake is a shopping street where the group strolls. Beau Chapeau, Canada's oldest year-round holiday emporium, sells hats with a 1920s and 1930s feel.

  6. Botanical Gardens

The route goes through the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens, on the Niagara Parkway beside the Great Gorge, a 10 minute drive north of the falls. The Butterfly Conservatory is here, along with the Niagara Parks School of Horticulture.

  7. Sir Adam Beck Generating Station

Sir Adam Beck I Generating Station has supplied renewable electricity to Ontario for nearly 100 years. Opened on December 28, 1921, it was then the largest hydroelectric station in the world, with more than 10,000 workers at the peak of construction.

  8. Niagara Falls

The Niagara Falls Festival of Lights is in view throughout the tour.

  9. Buffet Dinner Fallsview Restaurant if you have chose this…

A buffet dinner at the Fallsview Restaurant is for guests who chose the tour with dinner and paid for the dinner option.

    Extra fee

  10. Living Water Wayside Chapel

The Living Water Wayside Chapel, the smallest chapel in the world, is a stop on the day trip from Toronto to Niagara Falls.
