Victoria Falls Cross-Border Guided Tour, Four Hours at the Falls, Lodge Transfer
Five hours in total: four at the falls with a guide and one for the transfer from your lodge and the border crossing into Zimbabwe. The Zambian side comes first. A licensed guide walks the group onto Knife-Edge Bridge, where the views take in the Eastern Cataract, the Main Falls and the Boiling Pot, and the mist leaves you drenched. Then comes Zimbabwe, where the Main Falls form the widest and most dramatic stretch of the waterfall and the Zambezi drops into the gorge below the viewpoints along maintained trails. Rainbows form in the mist, most often in the morning and late afternoon. The rainforest on the Zimbabwean side is soaked by the spray all the time, and the humid microclimate supports a mix of plants and animals. The guide fills in the history, geology and wildlife and points out features along the way. The price includes an English-speaking guide and driver, an air-conditioned vehicle, bottled water, soda, snacks, and all fees and taxes. Lunch and the visa are not included. Up to 15 travelers can book together, a moderate level of fitness is expected, and the tour is not recommended for travelers who are pregnant or who have spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health. The falls straddle the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe and are known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya, the Smoke That Thunders. Wear shoes that can get wet, and keep cameras and phones protected from the mist.

Victoria Falls
The falls straddle the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, which gives two distinct views of Mosi-oa-Tunya, the Smoke That Thunders. This stop covers the Zambian side, and a licensed guide should accompany every visit. The Knife-Edge Bridge gives some of the most dramatic views of Victoria Falls, with close looks at the Eastern Cataract, the Main Falls and the Boiling Pot. Expect to get drenched by the mist.

Victoria Falls
The Main Falls are the widest and most dramatic section of the waterfall, where the full force of the Zambezi drops into the gorge. Trails with viewpoints give photo opportunities, and rainbows form in the mist, especially in the morning and late afternoon. The rainforest on the Zimbabwean side is soaked by the spray, which creates a microclimate full of plants and wildlife.
