Victoria Falls Private Tour with Big Tree, Falls Viewpoints and Bridge View
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
Victoria FallsA private tour of Victoria Falls that combines a baobab, the falls trails and a historic bridge in about two hours, in an air-conditioned vehicle. The group travels alone with a live guide, who shares insights on the geology, wildlife and cultural meaning of the falls, along with legends that guidebooks leave out. Raincoats and bottled water are included, and an Italian guide can be requested. The first stop is the Big Tree, a baobab about 24 meters tall with a girth of about 22 meters, estimated to be 1,500 to 2,000 years old. It stands near the place where David Livingstone landed in 1855, and a curio market with local crafts and souvenirs is close by. At the national park the walk follows rainforest trails to viewpoints of the falls, often wrapped in mist and rainbows, with the Devil's Cataract, Main Falls and Knife-Edge Bridge among the usual stops. The tour finishes with a view of the Victoria Falls Bridge, a steel arch bridge built in 1905 across the Zambezi River between Zimbabwe and Zambia. The national park fee of $50 and brunch are not included. Up to 15 travelers can join one booking. The tour is wheelchair accessible, including the transport, suits all fitness levels, and specialized infant seats are available. Guiding is in English.
